This is my Singer 99K. She was made in 1954 in Clydebank, Scotland. And she's one of 45,000 that were made in that serial number "lot". There are a few scratches on her, but after 57 years you can't expect anything to stay the same, can you?
I just love this photo!!!
This is my Singer 15K that was made in Clydebank, Scotland in 1937. There were 100,000 made and this one for some reason has a bird decal on it. I haven't been able to figure out why Singer did that, or how many others there are like it. But I have a treadle table that this machine will be put into and tuned up, and restored to it's original working condition. She turns like a dream though! I just have to figure out how to put the leather cord on the treadle itself and it should be running smoothly! :) Have any of you "threaded" up a treadle machine? I'll be sure and post how I did....it should be comical if not successful!
If anyone knows anything about this bird, please let me know! I'm very curious to find out everything I can!
